RETOM-30kA allows to generate sinusoidal current up to 30,000 A with a large output power of 55,000 VA, while remaining quite mobile and having relatively small dimensions.
- Testing of AC circuit breakers with electromagnetic, thermal, and electronic tripping units with rated currents up to 6,300 A. Determination of the following parameters: - Circuit breaker tripping current in the short-circuit current zone; - Circuit breaker tripping time in the short-circuit current zone; - Circuit breaker tripping time in the selective short-circuit current zone; - Circuit breaker tripping time in the overload current zone. - Testing of current transformers. Determination of the following parameters: - Transformation ratio; - Polarity/phasing using the AC method; - Current transformer loading nature. - Testing of relay protection and automation devices with primary current, allowing for the integrity of connecting circuits to be assessed, the correct connection of current transformers, and relay settings. Determination of the following parameters: - Current protection tripping current; - Current protection tripping time; - Secondary circuit phasing.
Main advantages of the RETOM-30kA:
- Adjustable single-phase sinusoidal output current up to 30,000 A;
- Output power up to 55,000 VA;
- Software-controlled output voltage required to power the tripping circuit when testing selective circuit breakers with electronic units;
- Adjustable output time range from 20 ms to continuous mode;
- Measurement of the effective value of the output current with a current output time from 0.1 ms to 9999 s;
- Possibility of increasing the output voltage up to 32 V;
- Measurement of external currents up to 20 A;
- Measurement of external voltages up to 500 V;
- Measurement of the circuit breaker tripping time from 0.1 ms to 9999 s;
- Measurement of the phase angle between the output and external currents from -180° to +180°;
- Measurement of the phase angle between the external current and external voltage from -180° to +180°;
- The ability to generate a pure sinusoidal current (with each start beginning from the zero-crossing point), which enables testing not only circuit breakers with electromagnetic tripping devices that respond to the effective current value, but also with electronic and microprocessor tripping devices that respond to the rate of rise and shape of the primary current;
- A short-term preliminary current flow mode ("Pre-Power") allows powering the tripping device control circuits for some circuit breaker models;
- Two ammeters and a voltmeter integrated into the system eliminate the difficulties associated with measuring high currents (including at short time intervals) and using additional external current and voltage meters, while the phase meter allows for easy measurement of phase errors when testing transformers;
- An intuitive menu and the ability to control the system using only an encoder controller ensure ease of use. - All connections within the system (both to the power grid and to each other) are made using modern, reliable power connectors;
- A mobile, collapsible stand is designed for transporting the system and its accessories to the test site;
- The unit housings are completely sealed, allowing the user to transport them to the test site in any weather conditions;
- The system's units are securely fastened to each other and to the stand, ensuring safety during movement.
